What Is Matcha? Many of you may already be familiar with Matcha. A fine green tea that is grown in a shady environment and processed without the leaves or stems, Matcha is a classic and traditional green tea from the beautiful country of Japan. Matcha contains theanines which are non-protein amino acids known for reducing stress. Because Matcha is grown in the shade, theanines are not easily converted into catechins, giving Matcha a higher concentration of these stress reducing organic compounds.
